چکیده

We investigate the system of a particle moving on a half line x ≥ 0 under the general walls at x = 0 that are permitted quantum mechanically. These quantum walls, characterized by a parameter L, are shown to be realized as a limit of regularized potentials. We then study the classical aspects of the quantum walls, by seeking a classical counterpart which admits the same time delay in scattering with the quantum wall, and also by examining the WKB-exactness of the transition kernel based on the regularized potentials. It is shown that no classical counterpart exists for walls with L < 0, and that the WKB-exactness can hold only for L = 0 and L = ∞. ∗ email: [email protected] † email: [email protected], http://www.mech.kochi-tech.ac.jp/cheon/ ‡ email: [email protected], http://research.kek.jp/people/itsutsui/

When the classical & quantum mechanical considerations hint to a single point; a microscopic particle in a one dimensional box with two infinite walls and a linear potential inside it

In this paper we have solved analytically the Schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. Based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...

Quantum Interference Control of Ballistic Magneto- resistance in a Magnetic Nanowire Containing Two Atomic- Size Domain Walls

The magnetoresistance of a one-dimensional electron gas in a metallic ferromagnetic nanowire containing two atomic-size domain walls has been investigated in the presence of spin-orbit interaction. The magnetoresistance is calculated in the ballistic regime, within the Landauer-Büttiker formalism. It has been demonstrated that the conductance of a magnetic nanowire with double domain walls...

Degenerate BPS Domain Walls: Classical and Quantum Dynamics

We discuss classical and quantum aspects of the dynamics of a family of domain walls arising in a generalized Wess-Zumino model. These domain walls can be embedded in N = 1 supergravity as exact solutions and are composed of two basic lumps.

Constacyclic Codes over Group Ring (Zq[v])/G

Recently, codes over some special finite rings especially chain rings have been studied. More recently, codes over finite non-chain rings have been also considered. Study on codes over such rings or rings in general is motivated by the existence of some special maps called Gray maps whose images give codes over fields. Quantum error-correcting (QEC) codes play a crucial role in protecting quantum ...

Solvation Force of Ellipse-Shaped Molecules Moving in One Dimension and Confined between Two Parallel Planar Walls

The model fluids containing hard ellipses (HEs) and Gay-Berne (GB) particles where their center is moving in one dimension and confined between two parallel walls with different interactions are investigated using Monte Carlo simulation, NVT ensemble. The dependency of fluid pressure with respect to the wall distances is studied. The oscillatory behaviors are seen in this quantity against ...
